hahah So we saw some Guards like this Around Nevino, and I guess they are just a common fixture in…the Art Kingdoms (Did we get a world name yet?)
NATURALLY IT MAKES ME WONDER ABOUT THE SOCIAL DYNAMICS: Naturally at the top we have The Master, and other EXCELLENT ARTISTS who evidentally through SKILL or INNATE TALENT? Can HARNESS THE POWERS OF CREATION. And Also they Protect the isolated Pockets of civilization.
Antons parents were evidentally ART SCIENTISTS, so basically the same thing but a different mindset I suppose. But Anton Sucks(?) at art… And So did that tiny guy. So I am assuming NOT EVERYONE Can use ART POWERS. And these guys form a general lower class. Also There are these HUGE GUARD DUDES which is where started this from, and they seem to be relying less on ART MAGIC and more on POINTY ORNATE SWORD DEALIES.
So I wonder, are they regular people and someone was like “You’re a big guy, how would you like a job as a Guard?”. Or are they constructs. Made of the ART-O-MATIC MAGIC or whatever.
But assuming they are just general LARGE DUDES doin a Job, I wonder how far simple BRUTE STRENGTH Can carry you. A knife in the back seems nothing to Nevino, but the circle of Swords gave Renard pause.
Anton looked to be born in the higher echelons of society and doomed to either live in his parents shadow or else slide down a few rungs to his level of competence.

Love the Art Deco/Communist Propaganda feel on the Nevino Decorations. Is His Symbol the DIAMOND? (KING OF DIAMONDS?) Would the Posters be very colourful were this comic in colour?
The Second Panel is just incredibly eerie and expressionistic as Virgil Skulks away. In the Third Panel his face becomes a Match for the Guards sort of black eyes of indifferent stranger look. Its very sad.
DAMN RIGHT YOU LOVE THEM.
I am pretty sure my definition for a successful piece is if enough people can spend time looking at it that is equal or greater to the amount of Time I Spent on it.
BEING THAT I LIKE YOUR WORK, and that you cheerfully respond to these BRILLIANT AND INCISIVE CRITIQUE, I am Then motivated to write MORE OF THEM. It is like a Life cycle of something or other.
